News From TWCC

The Medical Review Division at the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (TWCC) recently notified the TAA that they have updated their instructions for completing the CMS-1500 claim form and they have added a license type code for ambulance services. The license type code is "AMB" which indicates ambulance services.

Moving forward, when ambulance/EMS companies bill for services provided to injured workers, providers are instructed to begin to utilize the "AMB" license type code on the CMS-1500.
