TMHP Alert

TMHP will begin running banner message with the 11/26/2004 R&S Reports.  The message is regarding the 40 bytes maximum allowed for comments on ambulance and dental claims (some people were going to email me the request to put it into writing):

4 (12/03/04 through 12/31/04) ***** Attention Ambulance and Dental Providers Submitting Claims Electronically *****

The Compass 21 (C21) claims processing system can accept only 40 characters (including spaces) in the Comments section of electronic submissions for ambulance and dental claims. If providers include more than 40 characters in that field, the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) will accept just the first 40 characters; the other characters will not be imported into C21. Providers must ensure that all information required for the claim to process appropriately is included in the first 40 characters. For more information, visit the TMHP website at www.tmhp.com or call the TMHP Contact Center at 1- 800-925-9126.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks!
