Jose Maestas, Life Time Member of the TAA

TAA Board Member Joe Huffman announced today that past association member Jose Maestas was killed Friday Oct. 1, 2004 in east Texas, the apparent victim of an  one vehicle accident.  

"Jose was a true close friend of mine and good competitor I shall miss him greatly." stated Huffman

TAA Board Member Ron Haussecker stated "I'm deeply saddened by the lose of of a very dear friend. Jose always, always keep everyone laughing. He was one of the quite pioneers in EMS except for those of us who knew him. He was taken from us way to young."  

Jose was know for his competitive spirit and love for his family, especially his grandkids Jose is the only person ever given the status of LIFE TIME MEMBER of TAA.

Jose was born August 20, 1946 in Longmont, Colorado. 

Jose was preceded in death by his parents Arsenio and Santos Maestas. He is survived by his loving wife Penny Maestas, Children; Celina Maestas, Vincent Maestas, Sharon Tucker and Jim Randolph, Seven Grandchildren, Two Great-Grandchildren Trey Austin Ward and Abigail Faith Randolph, Brothers Ambrosio Maestas, David G. Maestas and Vincent Maestas and Sisters Pauline Willmann and Margie Ortiz.
