Members of the Texas Ambulance Association are provided with TAA Professional, Legislative, and Advocacy Services.

During recent months, the TAA has been involved with:

  • Legislative action relating to medical transportation.
  • Meetings with Medicare/Medicaid on current issues.
  • Distribution of information to members concerning continuing education and recertification.
  • Generating discussions with and providing support to community service programs from TAA members.
  • Attending conferences that have included nationally known speakers discussing such issues as: consolidation movement in the industry, media relations, health care reform and marketing.
  • Maintaining our alliance with the American Ambulance Association.
  • Medical Transport Provider Task Force
  • GETAC  
  • Gurney car legislation 

The TAA Annual Conference, Quarterly Newsletters, and  Industry Alerts Offer Timely and Relevant Information

TAA keeps you informed of important issues as they relate to our industry and offers you the opportunity to network with your peers.  Many of us share the same drain on our resources from shrinking revenue and increased documentation requirements.  Your participation in this association will give you an opportunity to see how other providers in our state have solved the same types of problems.

Our annual conference also gives you the opportunity to see new products that vendors will be demonstrating.  A substantial amount of information is also distributed in our quarterly newsletter, The Texas Ambulance News, which all members receive.


TAA NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!

The Texas Ambulance Association has become a loud voice regarding EMS issues across the  state of Texas.  The more members we have, the stronger that voice becomes.  It is important that we represent the views of all members, and because of this we need your support, participation and input.
