Call for Nominations
Deadline is January 30, 2005

Your Association depends on strong, quality leadership.  The Board of Directors is a vital part of the progress and growth of your association.  TAA needs your recommendations for quality members you feel would represent TAA in a professional manner.

In accordance with the By Laws of the Texas Ambulance Association, it is time to call for members in good standing that wish to serve as a  Director.

Anyone who wishes to be considered for an elected position as a Director must:

  1. Serve a three-year term beginning April 2005 and ending April 2008.

  2. Be the designated representative of a member of the TAA, in good standing;

  3. Commit to attend at least five meetings per year, be ready to devote time and effort to matters which concern the Board of Directors and to actively participate in all Board activities;

  4. Be prepared to assist other TAA members with concerns and problems which relate to the ambulance industry and the workings of the TAA; and,

  5. Understand that these positions provide no compensation for time or reimbursement for expenses.  All travel-related expenses, including transportation, lodging and food are the responsibility of the individual and/or their sponsoring organization.

All those who wish to stand for election and believe they are qualified are requested to to submit a letter of interest and answer a candidates questionnaire which describes both their qualifications and reasons for wanting to participate in the leadership of the TAA. Both the statement and Candidate's questionnaire should be accompanied by a recent photograph that may be distributed, along with your statement and answers to the questionnaire, in the package containing official ballots sent to all TAA members who are eligible to vote in this election. 

 In addition to distributing this information to the members, TAA will host a Candidate's Forum at the 2005 Annual Conference in Padre Island, Texas on Thursday, March 31.  The purpose of disseminating the above materials and hosting the Candidate's Forum is to provide the membership with as much information as possible regarding potential Directors experience and engage the membership in the election process.
